WHC Hire – Happy to Help

As a prominent local supplier to construction businesses throughout Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, WHC Hire Services was only to please to help the BBC’s DIY SOS with two inspiring projects over the summer.

We supplies the machines to convert the garden for Eckington based family, the Payne-Cheney’s whose house needed re-modelling for Antonia, aged 17, who suffers from the debilitating condition Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Our machines-including micro diggers, compactors, Stihl saws and more-can be seen transforming the outdoor space for the year round use for Antonia.

In Cheltenham we helped with the transformation of a family home for Paralympic hopeful Scott Jones, 17.  World champion shot putter, Scott, is hoping to compete in Tokyo 2020 Paralympics and the DIY SOS project provided him with much needed space to ensure he could get around safely in his wheelchair.

In each case the communities came together to support these two worthy local causes.  Local traders volunteered their labour, materials were donated & equipment loaned- including cement mixers, plate compactors pedestrian rollers, mini diggers & scaffold boards from WHC Hire.

MD, James Clutterbuck, said;

“As a business we look for the opportunities to put something back in to the communities where our depots are located.  These two projects were not only worthy, but hugely inspiring and we were delighted we could help”
