Vacancy for Mobile Plant Engineer (Tewkesbury Based)
We are looking for an additional qualified experienced Mobile Plant Engineer for our plant hire organisation for 2025.
The role will be working on sites around the Midlands to our customers. The successful plant engineer will ideally be time served and have excellent mechanical skills, whether qualified or from an apprentice trained background with a good mechanical foundation on engines and hydraulics.
Applicants who have experience with construction plant, agricultural, heavy forces equipment or similar background will transfer well. Will have good customer skills and be happy to work in a team or on ones own. Will need to have a full clean valid driving licence. You will be primarily responsible for pre-delivery inspections, service, maintenance and repairs as necessary. You will be working on heavy plant equipment such as diggers, excavators, dumpers, rollers, small construction tools etc. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a friendly organisation.
The Plant Engineer: Ideally have previous experience in mobile plant i.e excavators up to 20T, dumpers up to 9T, hydraulics, engines, PDI’s, fault finding, repairs etc, predominantly JCB, Kubota and Thwaites.
A service vehicle will be provided for business use.
Basic 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm.
Overtime paid at time and a half.
Salary depending on experience and qualifications.
23 days holiday a year plus bank holidays.
