How To Start A Cabbed Dumper
Cabbed Dumpers
View Transcript
Hello everyone and welcome back to our dumper series and in today’s video I’m going to take you through how to get one of these six or nine ton cabbed dumpers from Thwaites started.
All we need to do is follow this step-by-step guide and you’ll get your machine up and running quickly and efficiently.
To start with all we’re going to do jump ourselves straight into the operator seat. Now before we jump straight into the machine we need to ensure that we open the operator’s cabin door and make sure it’s secured in position.
And then to enter the machine we’re going to use the handlebars that are provided on the side of the cab and on the side of the operator seat so we can maintain those three points of contact.
So once safely and comfortably in your seat grab your seat belt which is on the right-hand side and release it as shown on screen. And then secure it on your left hand side.
Now it’s really important that you always have your seat belt fastened all times. Now the machine will not operate without that seat belt engaged and compliance is showed by the green beacon above you on the cabin flashing when the machine is turned on.
Now we’re ready to do our startup checks prior to starting the machine. Before we turn the key we need to ensure that the gear stick is in the neutral position, on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Our gear ratio stick is in neutral down below between your legs, and that our hand brake is engaged correctly.
Now we’re going to do is take our operator’s key pop it into the ignition and turn it to position one.
By turning it to position one it’s going to start priming the engine for you and after about 5 to 10 seconds you can turn the key to position two to start the machine.
You’ve now successfully started your Thwaites dumper.
And when you finish with the machine all you need to do is simply key off, remove your key from your ignition, and then you can release your seat belt and exit the machine using three points of contact.
And there you go guys that is the correct start up procedure for one of our six or nine ton cabbed dumpers available at WHC Hire.
Now if you come into any other problems while starting your machine you must get in contact with your local depot as soon as possible. Alternatively to troubleshoot any other problems feel free to scan the QR code that you’ll find in the cabin for more.
Thank you so much for joining me and until the next video take care and bye-bye for now.
