WHC Raise Awareness For Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

WHC Hire Services is proud to announce its active participation in Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, taking place from 12th–18th May.

Following a successful campaign in 2024, WHC will once again be supporting Mates in Mind, a leading UK charity that tackles the stigma surrounding poor mental health—particularly within the construction industry. The charity works to promote and support positive mental wellbeing in the workplace, an initiative that WHC Hire strongly advocates for.

In addition to focusing on the construction sector, Mates in Mind also supports workers in transport, logistics, and manufacturing industries. Their mission is to provide clear information and practical guidance to employers to help them support mental health and wellbeing within their teams.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 is “Community”, highlighting the importance of feeling part of a safe and positive environment.

“Being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us we are not alone. Communities can provide a sense of belonging, safety, support in hard times, and give us a sense of purpose.”

To show our support, WHC Hire has produced a short awareness video, which will be shared across our social media platforms throughout the week. We’d greatly appreciate your help in spreading the message by sharing it with your networks.

Managing Director James Clutterbuck commented:
“We are delighted to once again support such an important week in the calendar. At WHC Hire, the safety and wellbeing of our staff have always been top priorities—especially when it comes to mental health. It has always been my duty to ensure we provide a positive and supportive workplace for every team member.

Over the past few years, we’ve trained nine Level 3 Mental Health First Aiders across the business, and in 2025, we plan to train even more. The construction industry sadly remains one of the most dangerous to work in, and mental health continues to be the industry’s silent killer. If our efforts this week can help even one client, partner, or follower seek the support they need, then we’ll have made a difference. We would truly appreciate your support in sharing our message during Mental Health Awareness Week.”
