3T thwaites dumper handover

Hello and welcome back to our dumper series
here at WHC Hire. Joining me today
we’ve got our 3T swivel tip
dumper from Thwaites. And what we’re going
to do is go through a full handover
video to help you familiarize yourself
with the machine so you can get
absolutely the most out of your hire. To
start with what we need to do is get
ourselves into the machine to
familiarize ourselves with all of the
controls. Now to get in the machine we
need to use three points of contact.

Now you are safely and comfortably in your
seat the first thing you need to do is
pop your seat belt on. Now this machine
will not move in any way shape or form
without the seat belt engaged. Okay?
You can adjust the seat moving
backwards and forwards by using the
lever underneath your front right leg.
Which allows you to move forwards and
backwards so you can reach the pedals.
And you can also adjust the height of
your seat in between your legs.
Once you’re comfortable you’re ready to
go over the other controls. Now right in
front of you you’ve got your steering
wheel and your steering knob. Then we’ve
got our gear levers to the left of that.
Forwards engages the machine to go forward and
backwards goes backwards. If you’re
looking for neutral it’s in between.
On the opposite side, we’ve got our
indicators and our headlights. Pushing
the lever upwards will indicate left
pulling down towards you will indicate
right. And then you can twist the handle
to operate the headlights.

Now underneath that we’ve
got our dash lights, we’ve got our horn,
and our end and our engine warning
lights. Below our engine warning lights
we’ve got our ignition,
and then below that we’ve got our
operators handbook.
To the right of this we’ve got our
hazard warning lights. Beneath you,
in the centre, you’ve got your brake
and to the right you’ve got your
accelerator. On the right-hand side of
your operator seat you’ve got your
handbrake. Pull up and forward to release,
and pull up and backwards to engage. On
the left-hand side of your operators seat
you’ve got your skip-tipping features.
Forward and backward motions on this
controls operate the lifting and the
lowering of the skip.
And then left or right choices operate
the swivel

Now above you is your beacons and when
you’ve got the machine running, to ensure
that you’re compliant with the safety
requirements of this machine you need to
ensure that the seat belt is engaged for
the green beacon to flash. If the green
beacon is not flashing the machine will
not move.
And there you go those are the main
operating features of this 3T
Thwaites swivel tip dumper. If you’re
