View Transcript
Hello and welcome back to our excavator series
and today with me we’ve got our 6 Tonne
excavator the KX060-5 from Kubota.
In this tutorial video we’re going to
cover how to successfully change the
bucket on one of these machines. And to
get started we need to make sure we get
into the machine and get it running.
Let’s get ourselves into the machine
unlock the door
make sure it locks securely in place and
enter the machine using three points to
contact.
Now once comfortably in your seat pop
your seat belt on
and commence your startup procedure.
To begin your change the bucket sequence,
start by lowering your left arm arm rest
and picking up the bucket
with your boom.
Crowd the bucket round on itself all the
way around.
And now disengage the lock by using the
hydraulic quick hitch button on the dash.
You’ll hear a buzzing warning sound and
we’re going to crowd the bucket around further
to disengage the pins.
You’ll hear the pins unlock and now
you can lower the bucket to the floor.
And to lock the quick hitch once again
just simply turn off the button which
will automatically lock the pins into
place for you.
Now when you’ve manoeuvred to get to
your new bucket you need to reopen the
hitch which will follow the same process.
Crowd the hitch all the way around to nine
o’clock,
unlock the hitch by using the quick
hitch button again.
Crowd to nine o’clock
to open those pins and now you’re ready
to pick up your new bucket.
To lock the pins into place
engage the quick hitch. And just to
ensure that the bucket’s secure
simply place it on the floor and put a
little bit of pressure through it to
ensure that it’s correctly engaged.
Now you’ve successfully changed your
bucket on your excavator.
And that’s it from our excavator
tutorial today on our 6 Tonne KX060-5
from Kubota. Now if you’re having any
problems still changing the bucket on
your machine please get in contact with
your local depot as soon as possible but
hopefully, this video will troubleshoot
99% of the problems that you may come
across. Thank you ever so much again for
joining me until the next video take
care bye bye for now.
