Hello everyone and welcome back to our excavator series here at W HC Hire.  and in this video, what we’re going to do is give you a full tutorial of how to change a bucket on one of our micro diggers, the U 10- 5 from Kubota. To start with, we need to get ourselves onto the machine and get it running.

Once in the machine. First thing we need to do is pop our seatbelt on and start the engine accordingly. Make sure that both armrests are up,

Tucking our knees in, and just dropping both of the armrests. And when we’re ready, we’re going to do is we’re going to lift the, lift the boom up, keep the bucket parallel to the ground so that we can change it. From here what we’re going to do, we’re going to lift up our armrest. Take our seatbelt off, jump out of the machine, and come round to the bucket itself.

We’re going to unleash the linch pin and relieve the hitch pin itself. Leaving it in. Now what we wanna make sure is the bucket is in the correct position, but it’s not too far forward or back. That will give us any difficulty when we are trying to release the actual bucket itself. When the bucket is parallel, it’ll be ready for release.

We’re going to take our hitch bar, and enter it into the hitch itself. Push downwards and push the bucket away. Releasing the hitch. Now the hitch is released. We can jump back into the machine and lower the bucket onto the floor.

Now we’re ready to change to our new bucket. Simply we’re just going to do is repeat the process backwards. So we’re going to lower our boom to our new bucket.

Once we’ve picked up our bucket. We’ll come back round to the front of the hitch. We’ll take our hitch bar or insert it into the front of the hitch. And this time we’re going to be pulling the bucket towards ourselves as we engage the hitch downwards. Once the back of the hitch is in, we’re going to slide our locking pin in.

And secure it with a linch pit.

Now you successfully change the bucket of your excavator.

And there you go guys. That’s how we change our bucket in our U 10- 5 Kubota Micro again.
