Hello and welcome back to our excavator series

and in today’s tutorial video we’ve got

our 6 tonne excavator the Kubota

KX060-5. In today’s video we’re going to

take you through the full startup

procedure. To get the machine moving and

ready for work. To start with we need to

get ourselves into the machine to get

going. To start with we’re going to enter

the machine by using the handle and then

locking the door securely in position.

And then we’re going to enter the

machine using three points of contact.

Now we’ve entered the

the first thing we need to do

is pop our seat belt on which you’re

fine on the left hand side.

Now we’re going to do is take our key

and pop it into our ignition and turn it

to position one.

Allow the preheating startup sequence on

the onboard computer to commence. And

once that’s completed, ensure that your

left hand armrest is up, and you can turn

the machine on to position two.

The machine is now running. And when

you’re ready to commence work simply

drop your left arm arm rest

and start working.

Now when you’re finished with the

excavator you lift up your left arm

armrest

and key off.

Now you’re safe to unbuckle your seat

belt and exit the machine using three

points of contact.
