Hello and welcome back to our excavator series

here at WHC Hire, and in today’s video

we’re going to look at the correct

startup sequence for one of our micro

excavators. So if you’re having any

problems please feel free to watch this

video to the end which should help you as

much as possible. But do remember if

you’re still having problems after that

to give your local depot a call. 

First of

all by now you should have done your

pre-operational checks which we will leave

a link above in our playlist for you.

Once you’ve done those let’s get

ourselves into the machine and get the

machine correctly started. First of all

want to make sure before getting into

the machine that the left arm armrest

is up correctly and then we use three

points of contact to jump into the

machine.

Get ourselves nicely seated

and as before in our previous checks, pop

on our seat belt.

Now just a note, the machine won’t work unless

the seat belt is engaged.

Now ensuring that the left arm armrest

is up

we’ll go down to our key which is on our

right-hand side move it to position one

just to Prime the engine.

Once the machine is primed

we’re ready to turn it on into position

two.

On the left hand side the machine you

have your revs leaver.

Now the engine is running, once you’re

ready, you can drop your left hand

armrest

and commenced to work.

Once you’re finished with the machine

make sure that you put the bucket down

safely

lift at the left-hand armrest

and turn the machine off correctly.

Now that the machine is off you can take

your seat belt off and exit the machine

accordingly using three points of contact.
